AROH (Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd)


Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AIC) was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1956 on 20th December, 2002 with an authorized share capital of INR 15 billion and paid up capital of INR 2 billion. AIC commenced business from 1st April, 2003.

It has been formed at the behest of Government of India, consequent to the announcement by the then Hon'ble Union Finance Minister in his General Budget Speech FY 2002-03 that, "to subserve the needs of farmers better and to move towards a sustainable actuarial regime, it was proposed to set up a new Corporation for Agriculture Insurance".

AIC has taken over the implementation of National Agricultural Insurance Scheme (NAIS) which, until FY 2002-03 was implemented by General Insurance Corporation of India. In addition, AIC also transacts other insurance businesses directly or indirectly concerning agriculture and its allied activities.

Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), a listed NAVRATNA Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Power, Government of India, was incorporated on July 25, 1969 under the Companies Act 1956. REC is a Non-Banking Financial Company with 'Infrastructure Finance Company' status. Our main objective is to finance and promote power sector projects all over the country.

REC provides loan assistance to various State Power Utilities, Private Sector Project Developers, Central Power Sector Utilities and State Governments for investments in Power Generation, Power Transmission, Power Distribution and other system improvement schemes/initiatives, through its Corporate Office located at New Delhi, 18 project offices and 3 sub offices, located in most States in the country. As on 31.03.16, REC has a loan book of over Rs. 2,00,000 crore and net worth of Rs. 28,618 crore.

The Project Offices and the sub-offices in the States coordinate the programmes of REC’s financing with the concerned State Power Utilities to facilitate formulation of schemes, sanction & disbursement of loans and monitor the implementation of schemes by the State Power Utilities.

CSR Policy Statement CSR is the process by which an organization thinks about and evolves its relationship with stakeholders for the common good, and demonstrate their commitment in this regard by adoption of sustainable business processes and strategies. REC, being a responsible corporate citizen, continues to focus on social value creation. The Mission of REC reads as follows: "To facilitate availability of electricity for accelerated growth and for enrichment of quality of life of rural and urban population and to act as a competitive, client friendly and development oriented organization for financing and promoting projects covering Power Generation, Power Conservation, Power Transmission and Power Distribution network in the country",

And maintaining the agenda, RECL collaborated with AROH Foundation in the year 2014 for the districts of Gonda in Uttar Pradesh and Jhabua District in Madhya Pradesh for providing educational support of needy children through PADHO & BADHO project.

We together could change lives of around 500 underprivileged children and bring a hope of a better future through our constant endevours.

It is supported by a network of implementing, corporate and institutional partners.

Potential donors can browse and select from a wide offering of projects that are organized by geography or by themes such as health care, the environment and education. A donor can contribute any amount using a credit/debit card, check, PayPal, Apple Pay, or stock transfer. Gift registries can be set up for special events, and donors can purchase gift cards which recipients can redeem in support of a project of their choosing.

These contributions directly support the entrepreneurial work of global project leaders who are bringing innovative, empowering solutions to challenging social problems at the local community level.[12] To create an interactive relationship between the project and donors, project leaders send regular updates to their donors regarding the progress and impact of the project and donors are invited to submit comments.
